Vietnam becomes Korea's largest garment export market

“Korea Economy” reported on June 10 that South Korean Customs’ report “Trends in South Korean Garment Exports in Recent 5 Years” showed that South Korean apparel exports reached 1.941 billion U.S. dollars last year, a decrease of 4.5% from the previous year. Among them, Vietnam exported 382 million U.S. dollars, surpassing China for the first time to become Korea's largest garment export market. Exports to China amounted to US$372 million, followed by Japan (US$365 million) and the United States (US$265 million). According to the report, the rapid growth of investment by South Korean garment manufacturers in Vietnam has boosted South Korean apparel exports to Vietnam.
