Ferragamo Green Environmental Protection Orange Fiber

Salvatore Ferragamo, Florence's luxury fashion brand, specializes in the green Orange Fiber series, which honors the green environment with a sincere attitude of sustainable development and innovation.

Every year, Italy produces more than 700,000 tons of citrus by-products. Adriana Santanocito (founder of Orange Fiber Co., Ltd.) suddenly decided to use citrus fruits or its by-products to make sustainable fashion fabrics. The architect and hand-painted designer Mario Trimarchi ("Compassod'oro" winner in 2016), at the special invitation of Ferragamo, interprets his painting as a printed motif containing the essence of the Orange Fiber concept.

The printing patterns, fabrics and style combined with the environmental protection production process create a surprisingly yet exquisitely detailed series of garments. This proves that “in order to protect the earth with Italian creative ideas and extraordinary talents to implement sustainable fashion concepts” feasible!
