Why FRIED RICE?
MAYA: Because this is where I live (laughs). For example, whenever you walk down the street in the Lower East Side of New York City, you might hear an Asian old man playing a flute in the park. A few yards away, there is a group of young people who speak at least five languages. Listen to hip-hop music while playing basketball on the court. From punk rock bars, stalls selling Mexican blinis, to wild street performing arts and underground mahjong halls, all of this is happening on this block at the same time, and the sights are blended in a cool way. Together, ha! It's like fried rice! So, this is the origin of FRIED RICE - to celebrate this great and cool multi-mix.

Why choose fashion instead of other industries?
MAYA: It's because of the inherent sensitivity to fabrics, colors, and silhouettes. So naturally, this is what I use as a language to communicate with the outside world. This language is so three-dimensional, you can experience, touch and feel To. Everyone is a pluralist. It is very interesting to express his or her diversity with different combinations of elements. This language is also very fun!
Since the brand started in New York, why did you want to come to China?
MAYA: First of all, because I am Chinese and I have a deep root of Chinese roots, I still want to show my soul in China. And in this era, the whole world can feel the rise of China's original power. I think I caught a good time (laughs).

2017 autumn and winter series inspiration source?
MAYA: A new perspective on "tannins", vintage tooling collision classics: the use of stylish tannin fabrics combined with ancient hand-pressure cotton technology. Inspired by the childhood memories of seeing grandparents hand-stitched in their coats many years ago, it can be considered as a spontaneous burst of love in the heart (laugh).
