Method for determining the density of polyester threads

The density of the wire is the thickness of the fiber, which is one of the important quality control indicators of the fiber. We generally use this method to detect the quality of the polyester wire. When measuring the density, you need to use the crepe length gauge and balance. The specific steps are as follows:
1. First check the stop and mechanical status of the length gauge.
2. Set the number to the set number of turns on the length meter counter.
3. Pull the sample out of the wire, pull it through the tension device and the wire transfer device, pull it off 1-2m, and then fix it on the clip on the yarn frame of the length gauge.
4. Turn on the power, press the “Start” button, the yarn frame is rotated to the number of turns indicated by the counter pre-selection, and the yarn frame is stopped.
5. Cut off the head and tail of the sample, remove the individual wires on the wire frame and make a small knot, and weigh on the balance.
6. Calculation of results. Linear density (dtex) = G × 10000 / L, G - wire weight (g), L - wire length (m).
